Put a little joy in your brush and join me for a colorful journey to Provence, France, September 13-20, 2016. We will stay in St Remy de Provence, just across the street from the olive fields painted when Vincent Van Gogh was in St Remy. Our villa is located  in St Remy, close to the St. Paul Cloister near the places Van Gogh  painted in the final years of his life. Prepare to eat, paint and shop with me in one of the most scenic places in Southern France. We will visit some of the most beautiful villages in Provence, including Roussillon, Gordes, and the 12th Century Senanque Abbey. We'll shop the colorful markets of Isle sur la Sorgue filled with brilliant scarves, fabrics, pottery, soaps and lavender products. We'll visit the beautiful old monastery of St Paul Mausole and the bedroom Van Gogh made famous, and we'll follow in the footsteps of the painter through the landscapes that inspired his work.

With an emphasis on working in outdoors settings with clean, transparent color, you will learn to loosen your approach to painting florals and landscapes in this exciting workshop, open to students who working oils, acrylics, and water media. With multiple demonstrations, I will share all my favorite tips for creating brilliant color on a transparent background, and how to make your paintings look authentic and beautiful. Students are encouraged to take lots of photos and ask many questions, and will take home the tools needed to create paintings and memories they will enjoy for years to come.
