Put a little joy in your brush and join award winning artist Nancy Medina for three days of making brilliant flowers bloom in oils in Murfreesboro, TN. Named one of the best floral and botanical artists by American Art Collector magazine, Nancy is a master signature artist and instructor for the Dallas Arboretum whose paintings are collected around the world. Open for beginners to advanced students, you will learn to loosen your approach to floral paintings and landscapes. Nancy shares all her favorite tips with you for creating brilliant color on a transparent background, and methods for making your flowers look authentic and beautiful. Students are encouraged to take lots of photos and ask many questions, and will take home the tools needed to create flowers paintings they will enjoy for years to come.
You will learn to:
Paint loosely with confident, large strokes
Supplies: Supplies will be provided by the instructor including photographs of the painting setups, medium, canvas, palette paper and paints. Students will complete three paintings. Turpenoid will be provided by BGW Arts.
Students should also bring: at least two SG 700 3/4 inch Royal Soft Grip brushes (click here to order), your favorite liner or rigger brush size long, tabletop easel, palette knife, carbon tracing paper, pencil, camera/camera phone, notepad and pen, a jar for your odorless turpenoid, another VERY small glass jar with a lid that closes for your medium (NOT paper or styrofoam containers for your chemicals), and paper towels. Space will be limited with 2 students per table.
