Put a little joy in your brush and join me for a colorful journey to Sant'Angelo in Vado, Italy, June 26 to July 2, 2016. We will reside in a hotel in the heart of a beautiful village just upstairs from a pastry shop, and flanked on both sides by flower markets. We'll indulge in the local culture, explore shops, booths and markets with native guide and international sommelier Piero. Enjoy excursions to view the beautiful frescos of Urbino, the city on a hill and paint in a rustic farmhouse. We'll immerse ourselves in local color, architecture, and cuisine.
Open for painters and non-painters alike, this will be very small workshop with oil paints provided. With an emphasis on working in an indoor setting with clean, transparent color, you will learn to loosen your approach to painting florals and landscapes in this exciting workshop, open to students who work oils, acrylics, and water media. With multiple demonstrations, I will share all my favorite tips for creating brilliant color on a transparent background, and how to make your paintings look authentic and beautiful. Students are encouraged to take lots of photos and ask many questions, and will take home the tools needed to create paintings and memories they will enjoy for years to come.
You will learn to:
Paint loosely with confident brush strokes
- Visit and tasting with the Einstein of cheese
- Exploring the open-air market
- Reside in the heart of a beautiful village for a week
- Airport transfer before and after the workshop
- Day trip to San Marino and dinner on the Adriatic Sea
- Wine tasting and dinner in a local vineyard
- Art classes
- Oil paints and other supplies
- ….and much more!
Open to painters and nonpainters alike!
