I've squeezed another painting out of my geraniums, rescuing the pot from chilly rains in my garden today. I'm torn - should I put these plants out in the cold, or keep them indoors? Somehow, I know that Mother Nature wants her flowers back! Out they go tomorrow....!

It's hard to believe 2016 is almost over, a year of nonstop travel and my suitcases are back in the attic. (shocking!) Now that my online classes are up and running, I've reduced the number of in person workshops, but there are a few locations I just can't resist. One of my absolute favorite places to teach in the whole world is the historic German settlement of Fredericksburg, Texas. Registration opened today for my April workshop there, scheduled by my super smart hostess, Jane Drynan, during the height of wildflower bloom.

Fredericksburg is known for its beautiful stone architecture, and a slew of new wineries that have opened in the last few years. We'll take another field trip to Wildseed Farms to snap photos of their fields of poppies, and sample a few Texas wines while we're at it! The hubby and I have already reserved a cute bed and breakfast for the weekend, and will be bringing the newest family member, pug puppy Avery along, for the event!

The studio models take a bow (and prepare for a wintry reunion with outdoors)

The pansies will do fine outdoors, they have antifreeze in their petals!
